Three years of chronic pain.
That's how long I'd been searching for something — anything — that worked.
Then, barefoot on the quartz bedrock of Mount Lycabettus in Athens, something shifted. Not gradually. All at once. The ground did what three years of medicine hadn't.
The more I stood on it, the more the inflammation eased. What started as pain relief became something bigger: a way back into my own body, one I hadn't felt in years.
The idea came fast after that — not a business plan, a calling. And once I started paying attention, the confirmation was everywhere. 11:11. 22:22. The same numbers, again and again, too often to be coincidence. The ground had a charge. Apparently, so did the timing.
My father is Spanish from Andalusia and as a child I’d visit Ubrique, watching artisans work leather by hand, marvelling at pieces so well made they're still with me today, kept for a lifetime. Spanish blood, Spanish pride — I didn't have to search for someone who could build what I'd felt on that mountain. I already knew whose hands it would take.
Within a year, that calling became ROKHZ. I couldn't bottle what I felt on that mountain. But I could engineer it into a sole — copper conductivity, healing crystals, and the angel numbers that told me I was already on the right path.

Jose Luis answered Tash's call to bring ROKHZ to life.

Every pair that carries the ROKHZ name is made under Jose Luis's watchful eye. He oversees every stage of production — inspecting quality as each pair takes shape, and signing off only when it's ready. No factory line. No shortcuts. Every sandal built to the same standard as the first.

Every collection is produced in limited edition batches. Each pair is unique, made with intent, not rushed to meet a trend cycle — because design created to be timeless doesn't need reinventing every season.
Every crystal is hand-extracted, hand-cut, and hand-set — with a life that extends beyond the shoe. Turn it into a keepsake, or return it to the Earth, and nothing goes to waste.
Copper comes from the Earth. When a pair reaches the end of its life, we take the copper back and repurpose it into future designs — the same conductivity, made new again.
Our leathers are recycled and vegan, rescued from ocean plastics rather than pulled from new resources — buttery soft to the touch, with none of the compromise vegan leather usually implies.
Our soles are made from recycled thermo rubber and rice husks — an ancient, organic material reimagined through modern engineering. Light as air, and proof that old wisdom and new precision aren't opposites.
ROKHZ was never built to be a fashion brand. It's a wellness brand, in the form of footwear.
We set out to prove something most footwear never has to: that a ROKHZSTAR could feel better in what she wears, and the planet could carry less weight because of it. Not one at the expense of the other.
