Ancient wisdom, modern precision. ROKHZ is handcrafted for the woman who is always on.
Real luxury isn't mass-produced. It's made in small batches, under one watchful eye, with nothing rushed and nothing outsourced. Fast fashion fades. ROKHZ is built to last.
Our ROKHZSTARS don't send their sandals back.
They come back for more.
What goes around, comes around
Grounding starts with the Earth.
So does everything we make.
Limited editions
Every collection is produced in limited edition batches. Each pair is unique, made with intent, not rushed to meet a trend cycle, because design created to be timeless doesn't need reinventing every season.
Crystals
Every crystal is hand-extracted, hand-cut, and hand-set, with a life that extends beyond the shoe. Turn it into a keepsake, or return it to the Earth, and nothing goes to waste.
Copper
Copper comes from the Earth. When a pair reaches the end of its life, we take the copper back and repurpose it into future designs: the same conductivity, made new again.
Leathers
Our leathers are recycled and vegan, rescued from ocean plastics rather than pulled from new resources. Buttery soft to the touch, with none of the compromise vegan leather usually implies.
Soles
Our soles are made from recycled thermo rubber and rice husks, an ancient, organic material reimagined through modern engineering. Light as air, and proof that old wisdom and new precision aren't opposites.
ROKHZ was never built to be a fashion brand. It's a wellness brand, in the form of footwear.
We set out to prove something most footwear never has to: that a ROKHZSTAR could feel better in what she wears, and the planet could carry less weight because of it. Not one at the expense of the other.
Made by hand. Made to ground you.
The crystal finds you first. Your number confirms it.
FAQ
Who founded ROKHZ?
ROKHZ was founded by Natasha Mena. From the age of 8 to 16 she held a ballet scholarship with the Cecchetti Society and was offered a place at the Royal Ballet, and ballet has remained a lifelong practice. She later worked as an in-house lawyer from 2000 to 2008.
How did ROKHZ begin?
ROKHZ began on Mount Lycabettus in Athens. Living with physical pain, founder Natasha Mena walked barefoot on the mountain’s ancient, quartz-rich stone and felt the effect of grounding for herself. Her aim was to engineer that feeling into a sole. The angel numbers she kept seeing, 11:11, 22:22 and 77:77, confirmed she was on the right path.
Where is ROKHZ from?
ROKHZ is a Greek brand, handcrafted in Spain and rooted in Greece. The idea was born in Athens, and every pair is made by hand in Spain.
What does the name ROKHZ mean?
ROKHZ joins two words: ROK and HZ. ROK is rock, meaning the earth itself. It is the rock of Mount Lycabettus where ROKHZ began, and the crystals and copper in every pair, all mined from the earth. HZ is hertz, the unit of frequency, because the human body, the earth, crystals and copper all carry a frequency. Together, ROKHZ stands for connection to the earth, measured in frequency.
Who makes ROKHZ sandals?
ROKHZ sandals are handcrafted in small batches in Spain, handmade by artisans rather than machines. Every pair is overseen and inspected by our Master Artisan, Jose Luis Esclapez, before it leaves the workshop.
Is ROKHZ sustainable?
Yes. ROKHZ sandals are 100% vegan and handcrafted in small batches. Send back your worn copper elements and ROKHZ will give you 15% off your next pair; the copper is repurposed into future designs, so nothing goes to landfill. One percent of every purchase goes to Common Seas to remove plastic from the oceans, and every pair is covered by a 6-month repair warranty.
What is a ROKHZSTAR?
A ROKHZSTAR is anyone who wears ROKHZ. The name describes a woman who moves through life grounded and free-spirited, connected to her body and the earth. Stay grounded & gorgeous.
Where has ROKHZ been featured?
ROKHZ has been featured in British Vogue, Tatler, Vanity Fair, The Telegraph and Country & Town House. British Vogue wrote: “The future of footwear is grounded in wellness.”
